In the wake of devastating tornadoes in Missouri, Rx Outreach partnered with MatchNice to launch its first major online fundraising campaign, in just one day. The donation match created urgency, acted as a powerful credibility signal, and inspired donors to act. By streamlining the giving process, it boosted engagement, expanded reach, and delivered dramatic results: they doubled their donor base in 30 days.

Matching funds provided prescriptions for first-time patients, all at no cost. Volunteers hand-delivered medications, even picking them up from pharmacies for those unable to leave home after the storm.

“We filled about 73 prescriptions… we had volunteers who would literally go to the pharmacy, pick up the medication, and deliver it, all free of charge.”

Rx Outreach found that donation matching built donor confidence and inspire generosity, especially among small-dollar givers. With remaining funds, they aim to support the long-term recovery effort.
