How does MatchNice work?MatchNice offers a plug-and-play donation matching banner that nonprofits can add to their existing donation pages. Matchers make pledges to double the impact of donations, and our platform ensures these matches happen in real-time. We integrate seamlessly with Stripe and existing fundraising platforms to keep everything streamlined and easy.

When will MatchNice be available?MatchNice is currently in development. Beta testing will begin in January 2025, and nonprofits and matchers can join our beta waitlist now to get early access.

Does MatchNice work for nonprofits outside the U.S.?Currently, MatchNice only supports nonprofit organizations in the United States.

Can I customize the donation matching banner?Yes, our donation matching banner is launching with both light mode and dark mode, ensuring it pops on any website design. While these options provide a seamless fit for most sites, we’re planning to release additional custom branding features in the future to give nonprofits even more flexibility to match their unique style.

If not, you can easily setup a donation form that connects to Stripe. There are a ton of great free donation platforms out there that do connect with Stripe!

Will MatchNice work with my website?MatchNice integrates seamlessly with Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and any HTML website. Our plug-and-play banner and matcher portal is easy to set up on your website, and we’re here to help if you need support.

Can MatchNice integrate with my existing fundraising tools?Yes! MatchNice integrates with many existing fundraising and donor management platforms that use Stripe to provide a unified view of your donations and matches. All of your matching donations will connect and show up on your existing fundraising and donor management platform.

MatchNice also integrates with your existing fundraising platforms to ensure seamless data management without compromising security.

Does MatchNice match recurring donations?Yes! Any donation, whether one-time or recurring, captured through your donation page is eligible for a match. In the future Matchers will be able to set recurring matching pledges as well.

Do I need a Stripe account to use MatchNice?Yes, MatchNice works exclusively with Stripe to ensure secure and seamless payment processing. If your current donation page already uses Stripe, our platform integrates directly with your existing setup. If your current donation page does not use Stripe, you’ll need to switch your payment processor to Stripe to use MatchNice. Setting up a Stripe account is quick and straightforward—just visit www.stripe.com and follow their easy onboarding process. If you need assistance, our team is happy to help guide you through the transition to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What happens if my nonprofit doesn’t use up all the matching pledges?If matching pledges aren’t fully utilized, unused funds remain with the matcher, as they’re only charged when donations are made that trigger their match.

Will my nonprofit have access to my matcher data?Yes, nonprofits will have access to basic information about their matchers, such as names, emails, and pledged amounts, to help build transparency and foster stronger connections. However, personal or sensitive information about matchers will not be shared without their consent, ensuring privacy and security for all users.

Can my nonprofit communicate directly with matchers?Yes, matchers have the option to opt-in to communications from your organization. If they choose to opt-in, you’ll have access to their contact information, allowing you to thank them, share updates about your impact, and build a lasting relationship. Matchers who prefer to remain anonymous or opt-out of communications will not share their contact details.

Who are Matchers?Matchers are individuals, businesses, or foundations who pledge to match donations made to nonprofits, so it's really anybody and everybody! With MatchNice you can double the impact of every dollar given and inspire more people to give to your favorite nonprofits.

How do I become a Matcher?Join our beta waitlist! Once you’re accepted, you’ll gain access to our matcher portal where you can set up pledges, choose nonprofits to support, and track the impact of your matches. You'll be able to join as a matcher through our website, or directly through a nonprofit's website using MatchNice.

Are there any fees for Matchers?Matchers can choose to cover Stripe payment processing transaction fees for nonprofits (2.9% + 30 cents on the donation), which ensure the nonprofit gets 100% of the donation. Matchers can also choose to leave a tip to support MatchNice at checkout. Both are entirely optional and up to you!

How do matching pledges work?Matchers choose how much they want to pledge and for how long (e.g., a time period). Matches are preauthorized, meaning you only make your matching donation when actual donations are made that trigger your matching pledge.

Can I update my matching pledge after I make it?Yes, you can update your matching pledge at any time. MatchNice allows you to adjust the pledge amount, duration, or the nonprofits you’re supporting through our Matcher portal. Changes will apply to future matches, ensuring you have full control over your commitment.

What happens if my matching pledge isn't fully met?If all matching pledges aren’t utilized, the unused portion remains with you, the Matcher. You’re only charged for the donations that are actually made and matched, ensuring your funds are used effectively to maximize impact.

Can I make anonymous matching pledges?Yes, MatchNice allows you to make anonymous matching pledges. If you prefer not to share your identity with the nonprofit or the public, you can choose to remain anonymous while still making an impactful contribution. Your pledge details, such as the amount and duration, will be visible to the nonprofit, but your personal information will not be disclosed. This ensures your privacy while enabling the nonprofit to benefit from your generosity.

Is there a minimum pledge amount?There’s no minimum pledge amount — every match, big or small, makes a difference.

Will I get a tax-deductible receipt for my match?Yes! You'll receive an email with your tax-deductible receipt for your match after the donation is processed.

Can I support multiple nonprofits at once?Absolutely! Our matcher portal allows you to make pledges to multiple nonprofits and manage all of your matching pledges in one place.

How will my information be used?Your information will only be used to facilitate and manage your matching pledges. This includes processing payments, providing tax-deductible receipts, and keeping you informed about the status of your pledges and their impact. MatchNice prioritizes your privacy and will never share your personal or financial information with third parties without your consent. For nonprofits, we may share basic pledge details, such as your name (unless you choose to remain anonymous) and pledge amount, to build transparency and trust.

What payment methods does MatchNice accept?Currently, MatchNice only accepts credit and debit cards for matching pledges. We are working to expand our platform to include additional payment methods in the future, ensuring even more flexibility for our matchers. Stay tuned for updates!

What if I want to make a matching pledge for a nonprofit that isn’t a MatchNice customer?No problem! You can submit a pledge interest form for any registered nonprofit in the U.S through our nonprofit search feature in your Matcher Portal. Once you do, here’s what happens : MatchNice will contact the nonprofit to share your matching pledge interest. If the nonprofit signs up for MatchNice, we’ll notify you immediately. Once they’re onboard, you can complete your matching pledge and start making an impact! This allows you to support any U.S. nonprofit, even if they aren’t currently using MatchNice.
